The Commercial Architect Who Builds
My Story
2011–2014
Uchumi Supermarket
Marketing & Operations
LessonI learned that the consumer decides everything. You can have the best product, but if it's not on the shelf at the right price, at the right time, with the right visibility — it doesn't exist.
2014–2025
Coca-Cola / CCBA
Sales (3 years) → Trade Marketing Manager (8 years)
LessonI learned how to build brands that resonate locally while staying true to global identity. I spent 8 years in trade marketing — rare in an industry where people rotate every 3–4 years — and became the person who could translate global campaigns into Tanzanian reality.
2025–Present
GSM Beverages
Head of Sales and Marketing
LessonI learned how to build from zero. No legacy systems. No inherited structure. Just a blank page and a mandate to create a commercial engine that could compete with anyone. I built the route-to-consumer model, influenced P&L through pricing and mix discipline, reported directly to the CEO, and presented quarterly to the Board.
2014–Beyond
Mashariki Growth Partners
Founder & CEO
MissionTo help businesses across East Africa design route-to-market systems, commercial strategies, and scalable organisations. To share what I've learned. To build things that last.

Beyond the Boardroom
I'm a wife and a mother. A woman of faith. A believer in the power of listening. I journal. I reflect. I pray. I've learned that the best leaders are the ones who stay curious, stay humble, and stay connected to the people they serve.
I don't have all the answers. But I know how to ask the right questions. And I know how to build systems that help others find their own answers.
What I Believe
- 01
Strategy is execution.
A brilliant plan that never leaves the whiteboard is worthless. I build systems that work in the real world.
- 02
People are the engine.
You can have the best strategy in the world, but if your team isn't with you, it won't happen. I invest in people first.
- 03
Local context matters.
Global best practices are a starting point, not a destination. I adapt, localise, and make things work in the Tanzanian market.
- 04
Integrity is non-negotiable.
I've walked away from things that didn't feel right. I've protected confidentiality. I've kept my word. That's not negotiable.
